Intelligent Camera Unit · ICU
The eyes of the installation.
Every UrsiQ camera is an active part of the detection system, not merely an image source.
Each ICU captures high-resolution still imagery and video concurrently, preserving both the detail of a moment and the activity around it. IntelliSense supports useful observation, with each camera’s operation optimized for its site.
A state-of-the-art image sensor provides detailed daytime imagery, while a six-LED flood provides 940 nm night illumination invisible to animals. New hardware adds leading-edge sensors to UrsiQ’s proprietary approach to combining multiple data streams, strengthening the evidence behind each detection and helping distinguish wildlife from misleading appearances. Each camera can be tailored to its location and monitoring priorities, then refined as site conditions change.

Image Processing Unit · IPU
The field coordinator.
One IPU turns a group of cameras into a single installation.
The Image Processing Unit manages and coordinates as many as ten Intelligent Camera Units. It keeps the cameras working together, connects the installation with UrsiQ Core and preserves important evidence from the site.
The IPU also helps keep watch when connectivity is interrupted. Monitoring can continue at the site, with observations retained until they can be made available through UrsiQ Core.
The field system also keeps our team informed about the installation’s condition, helping us maintain reliable operation and provide timely, informed support.

Power Supply Unit · PSU
Power where the grid ends.
UrsiQ is designed to treat power as part of the system—not as an afterthought.
At off-grid sites, the PSU manages the installation’s power supply and provides the interface between batteries, solar charging and the UrsiQ field equipment. Protection, distribution and charging are designed around unattended operation in real field conditions.
Sites with commercial power can use a mains power supply instead. The power architecture is selected for the location, camera count, communications method and desired unattended runtime rather than forcing every installation into the same configuration.

Tankan Installation Kit
For customers who plan to install UrsiQ themselves or have a local contractor perform the installation. Includes two vertical anchors, horizontal cross-members, brackets and clamps for a robust, field-adjustable field installation.

Solar Power Kit
One PSU, two LiFePO₄ batteries, two 200 W solar panels, a charge controller, and the mounting hardware needed for autonomous field power.

One PSU with LiFePO₄ batteries and quick-change connectors. Choose the capacity that fits the site and service interval. (Especially useful when you intend to swap batteries in a rotating cycle.)

Additional Camera
Expand an iQ-100 installation with additional Intelligent Camera Units as coverage needs grow. One IPU supports up to 10 cameras: up to four can be mounted on the same tankan pipe, with up to six more positioned elsewhere around the site.
